The author David Manteit is a small property developer in Brisbane, Australia. He is a current liver patient, and has some signs of Cirrhosis, but not all. David was sent to hospital by the GP in May 2023 with deranged liver levels and ascites. David was a social drinker but this tipped him into the Cirrhosis category. David has not had a drop of alcohol for 2.5 years now. That helps. He thought he would not leave any stone unturned to restoring his liver and anything else standing in his way. David walked into the hospital with a bung lung and came out with a bung liver! The bung lung fixed itself after three months. David is now thankful for the bung lung!!! Otherwise he would not have known about the Cirrhosis
diagnosis.
Although there was ascites present at the hospital, David just thought that this was belly fat. Other symptoms have come and gone. Some symptoms still persist. David has lots of energy and has stood up in Planning Court in Brisbane destroying barristers, solicitors and witnesses. The book is the book David wanted to read, in May 23, 4 years ago. And 10 years ago, David spent 16 hours a day on his business but left the assessment of his liver aside.
David started looking for solutions, but the internet did not provide any consistent advice. Even on the liver foundation sites they seem to be spooked by the words ‘blood tests’ and ‘ultrasound’. Its as if they go into a trance. These foundation websites do not provide any information on how to assess your liver condition whatsoever. At first, David thought it would be a good idea to at least pass on his gained knowledge of assessment methods of liver disease.
The book follows the patient from start to finish. The book also follows what doctors do and assess, from start to finish. This is what happens in the real world. Thankfully David’s condition has improved, and is now able to provide one example of what a Cirrhosis patient can achieve. So that is a bonus story for the book. David has made a conscious effort to restore his own liver, by following his own plans and methods to recovery.
David has made many improvements including reversing all blood levels to normal. David does not have type 2 diabetes, cholesterol, hypertension or being overweight. Many of David’s ultrasound appearances have also returned to normal including liver size, spleen size and portal vein velocity. David has done 25 ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs, 28 blood tests, Fibroscan, 2d shearwave, ELF test, Echocardiogram, CT calcium test and lots more.
David has spent 4,000 hours research on all aspects of the liver. David’s approach to restoring the liver is to assess first and foremost, since you need to know where you
are at, before you can improve. Its relatively easy to assess diabetes, cholesterol hypertension and even the heart. Assessing the liver is more difficult due to the fact that you need to take an allround approach. This
requires assessment of many different criteria.
David has an interest in helping other people to reverse cirrhosis, fatty liver, hypertension, cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. David’s hope is that many of you will be able to fully reverse your liver and associated condition. It may take one month, or it may take 2-3 years. For those with late stage liver disease, it may not be possible to fully reverse Cirrhosis, but there are tens of thousands who have reversed their symptoms to a recompensated stage. There are hundreds of people on the web that have reversed Cirrhosis. Some Cirrhosis patients have lived for 35 years plus, so far.
